" Healing yourself is connected with healing others."
- Yoko Ono
Before becoming a massage therapist I was a stay at home mom. After about 5 years, I decided that it was time for me to focus on what my calling was going to be on this earth besides being a mom to my two amazing kids.
I have worked for chiropractors in the past as a "chiropractic assistant" on and off for about 7 years so I KNEW that my passion was the body and the amazing innate ability it has to heal and restore itself. After becoming a mom and experiencing the physical and mental trauma that it comes with, my beliefs really were solidified. With the help of regular chiropractic care AND regular massage, I really quickly recovered from pregnancy, and was able to keep up physically and mentally with motherhood. That's when I thought how AMAZING it would feel to be able to give back in the same way that I had been given to. Then quickly thought, "I should become a massage therapist!" That's when I started to look into massage school and into becoming a Certified Massage Therapist and I found The National Holistic Institute College of Massage Therapy.
I began their core program for massage which includes training in Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, MyoFascial Therapy, Prenatal massage, as well as a few different relaxation techniques such as ; hot stone therapy, aromatherapy, body wraps and more.
